Kruba Yo’s Feb 2025 SG Visit (7 – 10 Feb)

Kruba Yo is one of Luang Ta Ma’s disciples who have received permission to transmit ‘wiccha’ LP Doo and teach the kammathana method. He is also the most senior monk we’ve invited to Singapore thus far. He is the Chao Khana Amphur or Head Dhammayut Monk of Chiang Dao, with 42 temples under him.

Kruba recounted that he did not achieve much during his first 8 months as a monk and actually wanted to disrobe. However, after having a vision of Luang Pu Doo in Luang Ta’s kuti, he changed his mind and decided to stay on.

Since then, he has developed saddha (faith) in Luang Pu and later went to build up Wat Pa Thara Pirom. There was nothing when he first started and he had to build everything from scratch. But despite it being a remote temple, the baramee of Luang Pu Doo has supported Kruba in making steady progress.

Wat Pa Thara Pirom is a sacred place where the devas are sometimes seen to visit as bright orbs appear and fly around the Buddha statues at night. Occasionally there are visits by the Phayanaks as well.
